Throughout the day, I collect smiles, just as Mario collects gold coins and Sonic collects rings. And, like those two guys, gathering enough smiles from other people actually increases my health, if you can believe it.
Isn't life just like an old school video game?

OH GOSH, Newt! The freaking Sonic game! Remember when we went to NY and hung out with the relatives and played that game 24/7?
Also, you're cute! I collect smiles too, in some ways. I think we all do. I mostly go for making babies smile on the subway, and holding doors for people. More than that feels kind of intrusive.
My life is like PacMan; I walk through mazes eating things. That's right.
