Blown Away

A really talented live musician can just blow you away sometimes, huh?

You know no matter how much you devote you may never attain that level of precision and grace. Yet something magical resonates within your spirit and you think, what a miracle, what a gift, to be a human, to be a part of a species that can conceive of and combine notes and intensities and emotion into something so rich and delicate as... music.

What music were you listening to when you wrote this? I've been listening to some really great stuff. I have an idea for a package for you (a care package of the sort I sent you last year)....so I hope you are excited about that!

beth, I am SO excited. Anyway though, I should be the one sending YOU a care package, not the other way around.

As for whom I was listening to, the artist's name escapes me at the moment, but I DO remember this: he was an amazing folk guitarist and he stomped on the hollow stage in time to the music!!!

me, I thought you might concur... :)

Okay, stomping around on stage (a hollow stage, nonetheless) with folk guitar...well, if that isn't the key to success, I don't know what is.

....and it isn't a dead penguin being used as percussion. I promise. The slap sound is gross. Plus, it smells real bad. Real bad.
