Winter

Why is life so hard in the winter?  My life is not a bad life.  I try to think positive thoughts, do fun things, keep active, but somehow everything is several times more difficult than usual, and sad.

This is how I feel: how can I face another week?

With thoughts of ice skating, and hot chocolate, and AWC events, and winter carnivals? That's how I do it.

i am baking some bread tonight, and made it extra big to bring some over. <3

<3 gurl. I do this a lot in winter too. Another day? I don't THINK so! But there are always good things, like giant rat-suits. Or maybe you should go get that eggnog. :D

I've been feeling that way too. I need the sun.

Stupid lack of sunlight indeed!

On another positive note, I went skiing over the weekend (endorphins = winner in this type of situation) and am getting a massage tonight. I am pampering myself and I don't even care.

Boodle, when will you come to Boston and drink eggnog with me?

I know it sounds ridiculous, but just a couple minutes in the tanning salon really helps. Super concentrated rays will cheer you up. I used to cover my face with a thin white cloth (pillowcase, even?) -- it minimizes the damage to your skin, but the light still makes its way to your brain to give you a boost. Just an idea.

Re: pampering yourself -- well-deserved, my dear!
