That is totally cool- I am am glad that I am not the only one to see the beauty in 'destruction'. My husband says that no matter how broken something become, I can find something 'neat' about it :)
It almost looks like you carved the strainer with a heated hand to form the statuesque piece it has become.
I am sorry that your strainer has seen the beginning of it's 'end' though.
